Aristotle (384-322 B.C.) was an important Greek philosopher. One of the thinkers with the greatest influence on Western culture. He was a disciple of the philosopher Plato.
He elaborated a philosophical system that dealt with practically all existing subjects, such as geometry, physics, metaphysics, botany, zoology, astronomy, medicine, psychology, ethics, drama, poetry, rhetoric, mathematics and mainly logic.
Aristotle was born in Stagira, Macedonia, a Greek colony, in 384 BC. Son of Nicomachus, physician of King Amintas III, received a solid background in Natural Sciences.
